Jim Rogers

Jim Rodgers

Name: Jim Rodgers
Band: Devils Due
Music Style: Tribute to 80's Rock
Website: http://www.devilsduecincy.com
Location: Cincinnati, OH
Egnater Equipment: Egnater M4 with several modules: Erect, COD, VX, BMAN, EG3/4, TWIN, MHG, Salvation Salvado. I also own all of the Randall MTS modules, minus the Scott Ian modules.
About You / Your Band: My current band does 80's rock covers. We play under different stage names and try to look the part - it's a good gimmick and serves us well. I've played in a few other cover bands over the years as well as a few pretty successful (locally) original bands. My style ranges mainly from pop to hard rock. For my hard rock tones, I prefer the tone of the Erect or the custom Salvado module which is based on a Soldano SLO tone. For cleans, I use the BMAN, I prefer the COD for lighter gain tones. When I was doing pop rock, the VX was my main module for any overdriven tones.
My Egnater: When Egnater teamed up with Randall to do the MTS series, I was hooked on the flexibility. After purchasing all of the MTS modules, I then set out on a course to do the same with the Egnater modules. The quality and tone is exceptional and I would never part with them.

Egnater Equipment: Tweaker 15H, Tweaker 112x
About You / Your Band: Mike Gravis, amateur musician and composer, was born in December 1967 in Vienna, Austria, and has always been thrilled and impressed by rock music. After seeing David Gilmour, the voice and guitar of Pink Floyd, during his 2006 "On an Island" tour and concerts he knew, he wanted to start playing guitar. In 2008 he bought his first guitar, a black Fender Stratocaster, and started learning the instrument. In the following years he started to sing and began learning to play keyboard and bass guitar. On his recordings, he plays all instruments himself. Mainly influenced by Pink Floyd and progressive rock music, Mike occasionally composes and publishes his own songs.

My Egnater: I have owned many amps over 30 years. Once I played through the Vengeance I knew I found my tone. Great amplifier. It has fantastic articulation, excellent mids, and it stands out in the mix. It works great with effects and it gives me a great deal of confidence knowing that when I perform with my band my guitar will have a professional sound and tone to help me communicate our music. Watch to this clip and take a listen to my Vengeance!

Website: www.chicagototalaccess.com
Location: Boston, MA
Egnater Equipment: Tourmaster 4100, Rebel 20, Tourmaster 2x12 Cabinet, Rebel 1x12 Cabinet
About You / Your Band: I am a member of a tribute to the band Chicago. Exceptional music and unbelievable guitar work (Terry Kath, Chris Pinnick, Dwayne Bailey & Keith Howland). I also freelance as a jazz fusion and blues guitarist. Influences include Keith Howland, Terry Kath, Larry Carlton, Steve Lukather, Steve Khan & Jeff Beck.
My Egnater: I initially purchased the Rebel 20 and I was shocked at how much of a monster tone machine it is. I used it for a mid 60's Fender sound with a tube screamer. I recently purchased a Tourmaster 4100. This head has blown me away. 4 fantastic channels for all styles of playing. Channel 1 I use for a shimmering clean. Channel 2 has a bit more bite to it while Channels 3 & 4 are great overdrive channels. Channel 3 is primarily a rhythm and lead channel. Channel 4 has that little extra saturation I am sometimes looking for. Bruce and his team over at Egnater make outstanding equipment. I look forward to the day I purchase another Egnater amplifier.
